
The kitchen at the Stephanie Inn comes alive early each morning, when the breakfast chef arrives. Wonderful aromas fill the air as the chef mixes yeast, sugar, milk and salt-the starter for the Inn's fragrant, homemade bread.
Fresh scones and muffins lend a sweet, buttery scent to tempt the tastebuds. The kitchen begins to bustle with activity as cooks and staff arrive. The smell of dark roasted coffee swirls as eggs are scrambled, colorful fresh fruit is sliced, and bowls of hearty granola are set out to accompany one of the house specialties, such as Scotch Eggs or Buttermilk-Cheddar Cheese Biscuits with Sausage and Bacon Gravy. Soon, the guests of the Inn begin to arrive, and there is a flurry of excitement as cooks keep the buffet filled with an array of freshly prepared foods.
Making sauces, grilling vegetables, preparing garnishes, grilling meats and seafood and making salads for multiple seatings, all takes place in the confines of a tiny kitchen where everyone works comfortably, side by side. Nightly menus feature the freshest, best quality ingredients the region has to offer, served in innovative ways.
Dinner is available to guests of the Inn and outside guests of the Inn. Due to limited seating, evening dining is by reservation only and is in addition to your nightly room rate. A credit card guarantee is required. Seating times vary based on season.
