My Memory: The Stephanie Inn is one of my very favorite places to stay ever! My husband and I had our honeymoon there and have been there several times since. The staff has always gone above and beyond when we have asked for help. The breakfasts are second to none and we love having dinner there at least once during our stay!
Visiting in the Chart Room with other guests while sipping wine or night caps is great. We have met some very nice people during those times.
When we were there our first time during our honeymoon (12 1/2 years ago!), our stay inclued the 4th of July. The staff arranged for guests to have Smores on the beach and watch everyone's fireworks. It was a wonderful evening.
I have an ornament of the Stephanie Inn that I purchased for my husband from the gift shop during our first visit. It makes me smile every time we put it on our tree, because it brings back so many good memories.
We also have purchased the stuffed animal that is on our bed each time we have been there. We have a nice collection that is in our bedroom that I enjoy looking at because these also remind me of all the wonderful times we have had at the Stephanie Inn.

My Memory: The “Perfect” Inn
My first stay at the Stephanie Inn was in 1996. I was scheduled to attend a professional conference in Portland and I read about the Stephanie Inn in a travel magazine. At the time, my personal life was falling apart and I decided to take some time for myself exploring the Oregon Coast. When I called to book a room, I was told about a Winemaker’s Dinner that was taking place during my stay and I made a reservation.
Driving the coast of Oregon was a catharsis for me—given the shape of my personal life. The striking beauty and rugged coast was just the medicine I needed to renew myself. When I checked into the Stephanie Inn, it was warm and welcoming but very unique and special. My room was a haven and the view and connection to nature was healing. That night I got ready for the Winemaker’s Dinner with some hesitancy. I knew that most people would be with groups or dates and I would be alone.
To my surprise the evening was going to start on the beach! Chef served the first tasting there next to a roaring driftwood fire. It did not take long before we were all chatting and sharing our lives as we watched the sun sink into the Pacific. We moved to the dining room for dinner and they seated me at the head of a table of eight facing the stone fireplace. The meal and wine pairings were delicious and everyone was welcoming. I made new friends and I somehow knew that my new life going forward was going to be a success—this was a turning point. It made such a positive impression on me that I made a promise to myself—if I ever got married again, I would honeymoon at the “perfect” inn—The Stephanie Inn.
Five years later in 1999, I married my husband Bill and planned my return to The Stephanie Inn. Unfortunately there was no Winemaker’s Dinner during our time there, but I did book the Beach Bonfire. And on the 4th of July we sat on out balcony watching families whose bonfires dotting the beach as far as you could see. It was magical. We’ve been married 11 years now and our memories of the Stephanie Inn are “perfect”.

My Memory: My boyfriend and I have been together a year and a half. During that time he has taken me on many little getaways, several of them to the beach. We've always rented houses with friends and had a lovely time. Each time we've been to the beach he's mentioned he'd like to stay at the Stephanie Inn some time. So after a very busy Holiday Season I decided we needed a night away and I called several places along the coast to get rates. My final call was the Stephanie Inn. I believe I spoke to Rick who was extremely accommodating to my needs. I'm a single mom of two so the rate was important to me. But Rick went above and beyond and I booked our stay right then. That was the beginning of the perfect experience we had at the Stephanie Inn. Our plan was to check into the hotel and then head in to town. But once we saw our room, the view, we didn't want to leave our room! We had the windows and doors open, the fire going, and we were able to just relax, something we rarely get the chance to do at home. At 4 we took advantage of the wine and cheese in the library. We'd made dinner reservations for 8:30 but when it came time, I was craving crab cakes. We talked to the hostess at the front desk who suggested the Wayfarer and informed us of the shuttle service as well. It was the one time we left during our stay and though we enjoyed dinner tremedously we couldn't wait to get back to the Inn. We did stop in the the library for a nightcap and then it was back to the serenity of our room and the spectacular view.
I cannot say enough about our stay at the Stephanie Inn. It was only one night but I can honestly say it's the best experience I've ever had in a hotel. People keep asking me what was so special about our stay and I honestly think it's the people at the Stephanie Inn, the gal who checked us in, the fellow who helped with our bags, the driver of the shuttle. It's almost a feeling of calm as you walk through the doors.
My boyfriend promises the Stephanie Inn will become a yearly tradition for us. I'm already looking forward to our next visit and the memories we will make there.

My Memory: Cannon Beach is our "special place"! The Stephanie Inn makes it all the more special. We enjoyed a incredible Christmas this year! Our first away from our kids. When we heard that you were doing a face-lift on the rooms we knew we had to come back to savour the flavours of the services you had to offer (the couples massage was truly relaxing). We have never been to Cannon Beach this time of year and we were definitely not dissappointed. The weather was incredible (walking for miles every day)and sun-tanning on the beach in December! Thank you to your great staff for making this Christmas a special one we will never forget.
We will definitely be back!

My Memory: To celebrate our 26th anniversary my husband and I ran away from home. We'd had a difficult year filled with health issues and the difficulty of trying to make a business successful during tough economic times. We had no plans to stay at the Stephanie Inn but after a hectic stay in Portland at the Embassy Suites, we still hadn't found the relaxation and celebration we were looking for.
The Stephanie Inn provided just the atmosphere we were looking for. From the little touches (the refrigerator was stocked with our favorite drinks and an anniversary card was there to welcome us) and attentive staff to the spectacular views and incredible comfort of the Inn, we could not have asked for a better way to celebrate, to unwind, to take care of ourselves. We loved every minute of it...The early evening wine and appetizers, the chairs set out on the beach, the incredible view, the fresh berries at breakfast, the night cap, the beds that you can sink into...It was all wonderful.
We hadn't planned to stay at the Stephanie Inn...that is one mistake we won't make again. We will make it a point to stay at least once a year. It is spectacular!

My Memory: We were among the first visitors to the beautiful Stephanie Inn when you opened in 1993. I had read about your new Inn and at that time I was in charge of a senior travel group through a community bank in Centralia, WA. I sent out the information to our travel club members and before I knew it, we had filled up a Grayline bus. Approxmately 35 seniors got on board the bus and we headed to The Stephanie Inn. This group had traveled to many places in Washington and Oregon, but the Stephanie always was the one place EVERYONE wanted to go back to. I keep telling everyone that it was a once in a lifetime trip for the group because the Stephanie Inn got so popular after that first year that you could never book 20 plus rooms at one time.
Every year since 1993 I have traveled with my best friend Kris and we stay 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. When the new spa opened we make appointments and both agreed the services available at the spa are just like the rest of the beautiful facility and that is first class and quality! In September 1999 I married the love of my life, David Campbell (my first marriage) and we spent our honeymoon at the Stephanie Inn! I have recommended the Stephanie to hundreds of people over the years and will continue to do so. It is the best place to go to getaway, be pampered, eat well, and just enjoy the treasures of the ocean.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Stephanie Inn in November 2001. We had a great time, and share some very fond memories of our stay there. I graduate from nursing school in December 2010 and my husband is bringing me back to the Stephanie Inn in celebration of graduation. We are looking forward to coming back soon! Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

When we got married 24 years ago we were pretty young and my husband was in the military. We didn\'t have much money we spent most of our money to come home and have a small wedding with our family. We didn\'t go on a honeymoon at the time. A few years ago we came to celebrate our 15th anniversary at the Stephanie Inn to make up for our honeymoon. It is such a romantic get away we walked on the beach, met fun new people at the wine tasting and found our favorite anniversary spot. We didn't know we had such a wonderful place so close to home. We have came almost every year since then and it is always a great experience. It is always such a great experience for us the staff are always awesome, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is fabulous!! Just thinking about it makes me relax :)

My wife and I were travelling along the coast, basically exploring what we think is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
We stopped in Cannon Beach and enjoyed dinner, then decided to look for lodging for the evening. We ended up stopping by the Stephanie Inn by chance and were instantly taken by the beauty of the Inn and the location.
We were only able to stay one night, but the hospitality shown to us by the professional staff was fantastic. The amenities were just perfect and breakfast the next morning was the best we had experienced the entire trip.
My wife and I started our wonderful marriage 27 years ago and our honeymoon was less than stellar. The very first night we were married, she ended up in an emergency room with a temperature of 104 (she had the nurses in tears) and before we returned home I too was sick. I say that to say this: the Stephanie Inn provided us with a little bit of a romantic throw-back to a virtually non-existent honeymoon and we will always treasure our stay there!

After many years of not-so-subtle hints, my husband gave me the most romantic Christmas gift I’ve ever received...a weekend away to the Stephanie Inn. In anticipation of the trip, I spent many moments on the internet, reading guest reviews and carefully studying each picture on Stephanie Inn's website. I could hardly sleep the night before our much-awaited trip. After a wonderful drive from Seattle to Cannon Beach we stepped into the beautifully appointed, and wonderful smelling, lobby where we were greeted warmly by the gracious staff. They were attentive without being obtrusive. I literally cried tears of joy as I entered our guest room; it was spacious and elegantly decorated, and the view of the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking. Stephanie Inn FAR exceeded my high expectations. We walked hand-in-hand on toward Haystack Rock, marveling that the beach was very walkable as well as extremely picturesque. Sitting on our deck we were mesmerized by the sound of the surf when we saw a squadron of pelicans fly by. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Our two dinners and breakfasts at the Stephanie Inn were exquisite, and the constant supply of homemade cookies were an especially delightful treat. We have stayed at dozens of wonderful inns and B&B's across the country, but the Stephanie Inn tops our list. We're currently planning our fourth trip there - every time go we savor it more than the time before.

We were given a weekend at Stephanie Inn by our children. We arrived to find a wonderful inn and our room was so romantic and quiet. We loved the sound of the ocean -- don't get that on the mountaintop where we live. Within 2 hours of our arrival, the electricity went out. It stayed out overnight. The staff brought candles. There were no restaurants open because they couldn't cook. Our room had a fire place, so we enjoyed crackers and cheese and wine in a romantic setting. It was a great time and the staff was wonderful. Did all they could do in the situation. It is a true get away!
